Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in advanced network engineering roles focused on enterprise-level infrastructure.
- Extensive understanding of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLANs, VPNs (IPsec), DHCP/DNS management.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/ASA devices, Juniper networks, Cisco ISE, and Palo Alto firewalls; familiarity with load balancers and SAN storage solutions.
- Strong background in system administration across various operating systems including Windows Server (Active Directory), Linux distributions (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), UNIX variants, and macOS.
- Knowledge of cloud services like AWS or Azure for hybrid cloud architectures; experience with automation tools like Ansible or PowerShell scripting.
- Understanding of network security best practices, including encryption standards (SSL/TLS), PKI management, and LDAP integration; familiarity with IDS/IPS systems like Snort or Suricata.
- Experience in Agile methodologies; proficient in network management tools like SolarWinds or PRTG; skilled in scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architecture, including LAN, WAN, data center networks, and cloud integration (AWS and Azure).
- Configure and oversee network devices including Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Juniper equipment, and Cisco ISE for access control.
- Implement and enforce network security measures, including VPNs, IPsec, SSL/TLS encryption, PKI, IDS/IPS systems, and monitoring tools like SolarWinds and PRTG.
- Manage routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS to ensure high availability and optimal data flow.
- Oversee virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere and Citrix to support virtual environments and disaster recovery.
- Automate network configurations and administrative tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, and tools like Ansible.
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds or Splunk; troubleshoot issues related to TCP/IP stack, DNS/DHCP services, LDAP/Active Directory integration, and load balancing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network architecture planning according to SDLC principles; support telecommunications systems including VoIP and QoS implementations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and processes; participate in SDLC for new deployments or upgrades.
