Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in Python with the ability to write modular scripts and automation tools, beyond using Jupyter notebooks
- Hands-on experience with YOLO and Ultralytics, including training, fine-tuning, and evaluating models
- Strong grasp of object detection principles, encompassing bounding boxes, mAP, IoU, NMS, and confidence thresholds
- Familiar with dataset management tools, having experience with at least one labeling platform such as CVAT, Roboflow, or LabelImg; knowledgeable about training, validation, and testing data splits along with data augmentation
- Comfortable using Linux in a terminal setting, including SSH, file management, and executing training tasks

Responsibilities
- Train and refine YOLO/Ultralytics models on customized datasets for deployment in real-world edge scenarios
- Develop Python scripts and workflows for data ingestion, preprocessing, augmentation, and evaluation
- Create and manage labeled datasets utilizing tools like CVAT, Roboflow, or LabelImg
- Assess model performance metrics (such as mAP, precision/recall, and confidence calibration) and make adjustments based on findings
- Adjust detection thresholds and prepare models for deployment on embedded or edge hardware
- Collaborate closely with the Machine Learning team to translate business needs (e.g., occupancy detection, PPE compliance, queue monitoring) into trained models
