Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in systems administration
- Proficient in providing LINUX support for approximately 300 servers
- Experience with RHEL Linux 8/9 administration and patch management
- Skilled in Linux Server builds and custom configurations
- Ability to perform performance tuning of Oracle database servers
- Knowledge of server security vulnerability management
- Familiarity with SolarWinds monitoring
- Experience in Ansible playbook development
- Management and upgrades of Ansible Automation Platform
- Knowledge of Satellite 6 management and upgrades
- Understanding of VMware operations
- Proficient in automation practices
- Strong server migration capabilities
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, network topology, and firewalled environments
- Basic knowledge of storage management, database administration, Windows administration, and cloud integration
- Familiarity with Veritas NetBackup management and applications such as JBoss, WebSphere, Splunk, and HP ALM
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain support for a large number of Linux servers
- Implement and oversee patch management for RHEL Linux systems
- Configure and optimize Linux servers for performance
- Tune Oracle databases to improve efficiency
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage server security
- Utilize SolarWinds for server monitoring
- Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for automation
- Upgrade and maintain Ansible Automation Platform and Satellite 6
- Collaborate with VMware operations
- Execute server migrations and troubleshooting
- Work with networking protocols and configurations in firewalled settings
