Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles within a corporate setting
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and security protocols
- Practical experience with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy for incident management
- Proficient in troubleshooting software issues related to the Microsoft Office suite and operating system environments
- Experience with IT infrastructure components including hardware repairs and configurations
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical users
- Knowledge of IT support best practices paired with a customer service-oriented approach
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for desktop and laptop computers across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computers, peripherals, and network devices such as LANs and firewalls
- Assist users with software troubleshooting involving Microsoft Office applications, operating systems, and specialized enterprise software like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy
- Support VPN setups and resolve connectivity challenges to ensure secure remote access
- Manage and address service requests via ticketing systems like ServiceNow and Jira, accurately documenting solutions
- Configure and maintain network components including firewalls, LANs, and related security measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to swiftly resolve complex technical difficulties
- Communicate effectively with end-users to provide clear guidance and ensure high satisfaction levels
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware or software updates as necessary
