Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field - At least ten years of pertinent experience - Minimum seven years in developing distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, and microservices - Proficiency in Docker - Two or more years in front-end development with familiarity in modern frameworks (Angular/React) - Six or more years of experience with Java/Spring, and skilled in Maven/Gradle - Proven record of delivering critical business systems - Ability to collaborate effectively within a team - Experience in designing and developing scalable systems - Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks (Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) - Practical experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, etc.) - Understanding of mature engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, secure coding, etc.) - Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, LEAN, etc.) - Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and implementation of core services for cross-border payments, including transaction orchestration, reconciliation, and settlement components - Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Security teams to ensure compliance with regulatory, fraud, and operational standards - Influence the technical direction and establish standards for scalable, event-driven payment systems - Develop technical strategies to address complex requirements, aiming to solve broad, open-ended challenges - Participate in strategic development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for various projects - Oversee all facets of technical architecture, design, prototyping, and implementation for product needs and technology strategy - Provide leadership in constructing a technical plan and backlog, ensuring successful delivery from design to production - Guide and direct functional areas while leading efforts among team members - Represent engineering in cross-functional team discussions, presenting persuasive arguments and adapting strategies for agreement or behavior changes - Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to envision and develop new features - Own features or systems, managing their long-term health and enhancing surrounding systems - Assist support and operations teams in swiftly resolving production issues - Create and execute tests to ensure quality, performance, and scalability of applications - Continuously seek improvements in engineering standards, tools, and processes - Support the companys commitment to risk management and guard the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
