Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related technical field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps roles
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS
- Extensive knowledge of AWS core services: EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM
- Strong familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and Linux environments
- Practical experience with Docker
- Proven ability to deliver mission-critical systems
- Collaborative team player with strong influencing skills
- Understanding of mature engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, secure coding) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, LEAN)
- Demonstrated experience in implementing security and compliance measures aligned with standards like PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FFIEC
- Experience managing Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Ability to build and automate observability for complex systems
- Exceptional customer service, documentation, and communication skills
- Current AWS (or other cloud certifications)
- Background and drug screening required
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services
- Troubleshoot intricate infrastructure issues that span across multiple levels, collaborating with various teams
- Work with Security and Compliance teams to ensure all cloud environments adhere to regulatory standards
- Architect and implement disaster recovery solutions to maintain high availability and resilience
- Establish and enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM policies and encryption management
- Promote and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CI/CD methodologies
- Oversee the cloud vulnerability management and configuration process to ensure timely patching
- Maintain thorough documentation of cloud infrastructure and policies
- Design robust cloud infrastructure with emphasis on security and monitoring
- Provide technical leadership to develop a strategic plan and backlog, seeing projects through to production
