Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of pertinent experience in the field.
- 9+ years working with distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, and microservices.
- Proficiency with Docker.
- 2+ years in front-end development with experience in modern frameworks (Angular/React).
- 8+ years of experience in Java/Spring; skilled in Maven/Gradle.
- Proven track record of delivering mission-critical systems.
- Strong ability to collaborate and influence various teams across departments.
- Experience in designing and developing scalable systems.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging frameworks (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of established engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, secure coding).
- Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, LEAN) and DevOps principles.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineering, product, and architecture teams to guide engineering strategies and share expertise.
- Develop the technical strategy for complex requirements with innovative solutions that extend beyond the immediate team.
- Oversee department-wide design patterns and coding standards.
- Review and assess the effectiveness of code generated by different teams.
- Resolve technical disputes within and among teams.
- Lead all aspects of technical architecture, design, prototyping, and implementations aligned with product and technology strategies.
- Represent engineering in cross-functional meetings and present compelling arguments to advocate for ideas.
- Guide a broad functional area and manage efforts through team members during planning.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to conceptualize and build new features and product specs.
- Take ownership of features or systems, ensuring their longevity and enhancing adjacent systems.
- Assist support and operations in identifying and swiftly addressing production challenges.
- Design and implement tests to guarantee the applications quality, performance, and scalability.
- Mentor and develop fellow engineers and act as a technical leader for cross-functional assignments.
- Actively seek enhancements to engineering standards, tools, and processes.
- Support the companys commitment to risk management and the safeguarding of system and data integrity.
