Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years experience in Full Stack development/management (Java, Spring, AWS Cloud)
- Proficiency in system automation, scripting, Chef, Puppet, or similar technologies
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies such as VMWare and AWS
- Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and delivery
- Familiarity with modern technology, architecture, design concepts, operating systems, database systems, computer networking, and security
- Experience with open source frameworks and tools
- Demonstrated understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies and practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams to achieve results
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and motivation
- Ability to conceptualize project goals and product architecture solutions
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to work independently under deadlines
- Proven leadership experience and skills in guiding DevOps teams
- Background check and drug screening required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the activities of two or more engineering teams
- Build and maintain Product Engineering components throughout their lifecycle
- Supervise budgets, methodologies, and staffing
- Provide technical leadership in product design and engineering patterns
- Lead efforts to identify, enhance, and automate applications and systems
- Ensure compliance with testing policies and procedures
- Play a role in employee selection, training, performance management, and development
- Contribute to the vision and leadership of the Engineering team
- Foster improvement of the Agile software development lifecycle using best practices
- Keep management updated on team progress, challenges, and solutions
- Engage in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning initiatives
- Act as the primary liaison between Engineering and other departments
- Advocate for DevOps principles and collaborate across teams
- Uphold the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data
- Assist in formulating, modifying, and executing company policies affecting operations
- Manage subordinate supervisors or team leads along with engineers
- Ensure teams adhere to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance standards.
