Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in software development (5+ years) with proficiency in Java, C#, C++, or Objective-C
- Strong skill set in SQL or PL/SQL along with relational database principles
- Familiarity with source code management systems
- Experience with secure coding practices is a plus
- Competence in conducting code reviews for quality assurance
- Ability to maintain and adapt testing scripts as required
- Prepares and oversees test strategies, plans, cases, and summary reports
- Knowledge of automated functional testing frameworks like Cucumber and Selenium
- Conducts various testing phases, including unit, functional, and integration tests
- Experience in providing project testing metrics
- Advanced understanding of QA/QC practices; certifications are advantageous
- Effective problem-solving skills across multiple technical domains
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Agile/Lean methodologies familiarity and an understanding of iterative development processes
- Capability to mentor and guide less experienced Software Engineers in their roles
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or Jasper Reports
- Understanding of object-oriented architecture/design and event-driven programming
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux command-line tools and scripting
- Experience with technologies related to Spring Boot and AWS is preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software systems and applications
- Act as a technical authority on development initiatives
- Oversee the complete software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to design
- Draft technical documentation based on conceptual designs and business needs
- Maintain and document software functionality
- Spot and assess new technologies for potential application
- Analyze existing code to identify errors and make necessary updates
- Lead software design sessions to evaluate user requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Collaborate with end-users to prototype, refine, test, and troubleshoot software solutions
- Adhere to security protocols and procedures to uphold system confidentiality and integrity
