Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in Java, C#, C++, or Objective-C with 5+ years of experience.
- Strong skills in SQL or PL/SQL and understanding of relational database concepts.
- Experience with source control systems.
- Familiarity with secure programming practices is a plus.
- Able to conduct code reviews ensuring acceptance criteria is met.
- Ability to utilize Unix/Linux command line tools and create/edit scripts.
- Capable of maintaining automated deployment scripts and analyzing results.
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Jasper Reports, or BIRT.
- Understanding of software environments and network architectures.
- Competence in object-oriented analysis/design and event-driven programming.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Experience with REST or SOAP services and cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Knowledge of common data formats like XML, JSON, and YAML.
- Background in FinTech is highly advantageous.
- Ability to produce detailed documentation from requirements and actively engage in the software development life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and troubleshoot new and existing software applications.
- Serve as a technical authority on developmental projects.
- Manage the entire software development life cycle, including analyzing and designing requirements.
- Draft technical specifications that align with business needs.
- Support and document software functionalities.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies into existing systems.
- Analyze existing code to identify errors or inefficiencies, revising programs as necessary.
- Lead software design meetings and translate user needs into technical requirements.
- Collaborate with end users to prototype, refine, and debug applications.
- Adhere to all security protocols to safeguard system integrity and data confidentiality.
- Lead and mentor team members, ensuring alignment on technical tasks and project estimates.
