Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years managing development in Full Stack (Technologies: Java, Spring, AWS Cloud)
- Experience with system automation, scripting, and tools like Chef or Puppet
- Proficiency in Cloud technologies such as VMWare and AWS
- Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of modern technology, architecture, design concepts, operating systems, database systems, computer networking, and security
- Experience with open-source frameworks and tools
- Proven track record in Agile and DevOps methodologies and practices
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and initiative
- Ability to conceptualize project goals and focus on implementation details
- Competency in managing multiple simultaneous, deadline-driven projects
- Demonstrated leadership experience, specifically within DevOps teams
- Background check and drug screening required
Responsibilities
- Oversee the activities of two or more engineering teams
- Develop and sustain Product Engineering components throughout their lifecycle
- Monitor cost efficiency, methodologies, and staffing needs
- Provide technical direction on product design and engineering frameworks
- Drive enhancements and automation of applications and systems
- Ensure adherence to testing policies and procedures
- Offer guidance in employee selection, training, performance management, and development to achieve department goals and SLAs
- Actively support the vision and leadership of the Engineering teams
- Refine and improve the Agile software development lifecycle by implementing best practices
- Keep management updated on team progress, challenges, and resolutions
- Engage in initiatives for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
- Act as the primary liaison between Engineering and other departments
- Advocate for DevOps principles and foster collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Support the commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data
- Help shape and implement company policies affecting immediate operations
- Ensure compliance with budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance standards
