Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering, particularly within complex enterprise settings.
- Strong proficiency in LAN/WAN, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VPN, and data center networking technologies.
- Practical experience with firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), load balancers (F5), and network switches/routers.
- Experience in supporting hybrid environments (both on-premise and AWS cloud).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, Ethernet, and network services (DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, SSH, SMTP).
- Knowledge of virtualization concepts (ESX, vSwitch/VDS).
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (preferably Python, Bash, Ansible).
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of making sound technical decisions following established architectural standards.
- Must successfully complete background checks and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, test, and maintain complex LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networking solutions.
- Drive technical design and implementation of medium to large network projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new service launches.
- Transform architectural standards and strategic goals into actionable technical designs and solutions.
- Lead the identification and resolution of complex and escalated network incidents across various platforms and technologies.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting to pinpoint hardware, software, firmware, application, and network-related issues.
- Carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective measures to prevent issues from recurring.
- Contribute to network platform evolution by identifying areas for improvement and recommending modern technologies, automation, and design patterns.
- Engage in architecture reviews and provide technical insights into network standards, tools, and operational procedures.
- Implement automation and configuration management strategies to enhance reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Cloud, Platform, Security, SRE, Application Engineering, and Product teams to deliver cohesive infrastructure solutions.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for engineering teams needing network expertise.
- Participate in high-profile, cross-functional projects from inception through execution.
- Maintain and support enterprise LAN/WAN, firewall, load balancing, and web hosting environments.
- Share in on-call responsibilities and provide escalation support when necessary.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Enforce network security controls and policies in line with enterprise security standards.
- Engage in firewall governance processes, including rule evaluations and approvals.
- Uphold the companys commitment to maintaining system and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior engineers.
- Share best practices, troubleshooting strategies, and operational knowledge within the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.
