Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) - Over 5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, CMDB governance, IT Operations, or similar areas - Proven ability to integrate governance controls into operational workflows - In-depth knowledge of comprehensive asset lifecycle management - Practical experience with ServiceNow ITAM and CMDB data frameworks - Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework and principles of service mapping - Experience in executing asset-to-CI reconciliation and addressing data quality issues - Understanding of ITIL and configuration management standards - Experience assisting with audits in regulated or control-focused environments - Strong analytical capabilities with the skill to interpret operational and configuration data - Capacity to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams without formal authority - ITIL v4 certification (preferred) - ServiceNow HAM/SAM and/or CMDB certification (preferred) - Experience in implementing or enhancing CSDM adoption (preferred) - Background in large-scale IT operations settings (preferred)

Responsibilities

- Integrate ITAM governance controls into procurement, provisioning, deployment, transfer, and retirement processes - Ensure compliance with lifecycle processes and address deviations as necessary - Conduct regular reviews of operational controls to verify asset traceability and adherence to policies - Confirm that lifecycle transactions are accurately recorded in ITAM and CMDB systems - Collaborate with CMDB and platform owners to set and apply data quality standards for configuration items (CIs) - Create reconciliation processes between asset records and their corresponding CIs - Identify and correct data integrity issues such as duplicate entries, orphaned CIs, and incomplete attributes - Establish control checkpoints to maintain synchronization of asset and CI records throughout their lifecycle - Ensure alignment of asset and configuration data with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework - Verify appropriate CI class usage, service relationships, and ownership mappings within ServiceNow - Work alongside Service Owners and platform teams to ensure accurate service-to-asset associations - Assist with initiatives to enhance service visibility and operational resilience through effective service data management - Transform enterprise ITAM and CMDB governance policies into practical procedures and tools - Enforce standards across hardware, infrastructure assets, and end-user devices - Partner with operational leaders to address control gaps and implement corrective measures - Manage the accuracy of ITAM and CMDB data across various platforms - Create reconciliations between procurement systems, financial records, discovery tools, and asset databases - Lead data quality improvement initiatives to enhance lifecycle transparency and service reliability - Support internal and external audits by providing evidence of asset lifecycle controls and governance practices - Maintain comprehensive documentation of control procedures and remediation actions - Respond to audit findings related to asset accountability and configuration integrity - Define and track KPIs related to inventory accuracy, CI reconciliation, and data completeness - Deliver regular governance reports to IT and platform leadership - Identify systemic weaknesses in controls and implement sustainable improvements - Engage closely with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Client Computing, and other teams to address governance issues - Act as a point of escalation for asset and CMDB governance challenges - Foster accountability for data management and lifecycle accuracy within operational groups
