Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics within a data-rich environment (or equivalent education and experience).
- At least 7 years of experience in proficient programming facilitating the timely manipulation and analysis of large data sets.
- Advanced skills in data mining, data manipulation, and programming using Pyspark, Scala, and Hive.
- Extensive knowledge of machine learning, predictive modeling, and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with common analytical data sources used in the industry.
- Proven capability to understand business requirements and translate them into an analytical design.
- Strong ability to clearly communicate complex analysis findings to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in evaluating different analytical methods and selecting optimal designs and techniques.
- Ability to independently lead large-scale analytic projects involving multiple analysts while collaborating with other departments.
- Preferred: Advanced degree, deep knowledge of advanced machine learning algorithms, experience with ML-related libraries such as scikit-learn and pandas, proficiency in SQL, and 2 years of experience with financial data.
Responsibilities
- Participate in or lead the design, development, and maintenance of analytically driven models to assess risk and prevent fraud.
- Develop ETL processes and data storage strategies for complex datasets from diverse sources.
- Take a leading role in supporting large-scale business initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for analytic designs and solutions.
- Oversee analytic data processes, including program development direction.
- Research and recommend new analytical techniques and software, providing training to team members as required.
- Manage a team of data scientists as necessary.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while developing and managing timelines for project activities.
- Prepare and present technical information to management and technical colleagues accurately.
- Uphold the company’s commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
