Requirements
Must:
- 15+ years of experience in IT, including 8+ years in Information Security
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise Vulnerability Management and risk-based prioritization
- Demonstrated experience in a Three Lines of Defense model or similar regulated environment (preferably in financial services)
- Strong grasp of infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, and common vulnerability types
- Skill in translating technical findings into business risks and insights suitable for executives
- Background in fintech or other heavily regulated sectors
- Familiarity with CVSS, EPSS, threat intelligence, and KEV-based prioritization
- Experience in risk management, auditing, or control validation
- Must undergo a background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Provide independent oversight and challenge to vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation in enterprise settings
- Establish and maintain policies, standards, and risk-based remediation Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Conduct validation of controls and effectiveness testing concerning VM processes, tools, and data quality
- Evaluate and question decisions on risk acceptance, compensating controls, and timelines for remediation
- Generate risk-based reports and insights regarding vulnerability exposure, trends, and systemic weaknesses
- Supervise VM tools (such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7) to ensure appropriate coverage, configuration, and data fidelity
- Collaborate with First Line teams, Risk, Compliance, and Audit to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for VM during regulatory examinations and internal audits
