Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent certifications
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in medium to large scale enterprises
- At least 5 years of experience in modern application design patterns
- Proven background in DevOps, software engineering, or similar domains
- Experience in automating observability for complex transactional systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects with a solid grasp of software environments and network topologies
- Proficient in facilitating technical design sessions
- Strong understanding of iterative software development processes
- Skilled in Linux administration and script creation/editing
- Knowledgeable in tools and methodologies including IaC, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, and container orchestration
- Familiarity with security and encryption protocols
- Availability to work varied schedules as part of an on-call rotation
- High responsiveness to customer needs, excellent documentation and communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Experience in designing resilient and observable cloud infrastructure
- Expertise in AWS fundamentals, including compute, networking, and security
- Proficient in using and troubleshooting networks and cloud systems
- Must successfully pass a background and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, documentation, testing, automation, and maintenance of technical infrastructure for efficient software delivery
- Act as a technical expert and mentor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Focus on user experience for large-scale infrastructure systems, innovating processes and enhancing product quality
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges through various tools and methodologies
- Provide expertise in creating and automating cloud resources and services, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Spearhead infrastructure-as-code and pipeline projects while applying best engineering practices
- Design application service solutions that align with our technology strategy, simplifying cloud complexities
- Understand DORA metrics and assist in measuring and improving performance
- Enhance teams observational software capabilities by tuning processes and pipelines
- Serve as the voice of reason and advocate for adoption of effective practices
- Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to define high standards for cloud-native applications
- Drive value attainment by working closely with product management on technical design and implementation
- Manage large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Support risk management initiatives to maintain system integrity and confidentiality
