Requirements

Must:
- Deep expertise in data security domains including encryption, tokenization, masking, and DLP. - Experience with data classification frameworks and data lifecycle management. - Strong understanding of data architectures across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. - Ability to translate data risk into business impact and regulatory implications. - Deep expertise in IAM, PAM, and access governance models. - Experience with identity systems, federation, and modern authentication (e.g., SSO, MFA, Zero Trust). - Strong understanding of least privilege, role-based and attribute-based access control models. - Ability to assess and communicate access-related risks at scale. - 15+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in Information Security. - Experience operating in a Three Lines of Defense model and/or a regulated environment (preferably financial services). - Ability to translate technical findings into business risk and insights suitable for executive-level discussions. - Experience in fintech or highly regulated sectors. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements concerning data protection and access management. - Background in risk management, auditing, or control validation.

Responsibilities

- Ensure the effectiveness and defensibility of Access Control and Data Security programs through independent challenge and governance. - Provide oversight and independent evaluation of data protection practices across enterprise settings. - Formulate and uphold policies, standards, and controls related to data classification, encryption, retention, and handling. - Challenge validation of controls and effectiveness testing for data security measures, including DLP and encryption. - Assess and question data access, sharing practices, and lifecycle management decisions. - Generate risk-based reports concerning data exposure, control deficiencies, and emerging trends. - Oversee data security tools to ensure comprehensive coverage, proper configuration, and data integrity. - Challenge and supervise Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) initiatives. - Establish and maintain policies, standards, and controls for authentication, authorization, and access governance. - Evaluate control validation concerning provisioning, deprovisioning, access audits, and segregation of duties (SoD). - Assess access decisions, entitlements, and risks associated with privilege escalation. - Provide reports on access risks, excessive privileges, and weaknesses in controls. - Monitor IAM/PAM tools to ensure their effectiveness and integrity.
