Requirements

Must:
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science - Over ten years of experience in software engineering with a minimum of five years in a leadership role - 1-2 years of experience in implementing application solutions in the Cloud utilizing Containerization, CI/CD, and Automated Testing while adhering to security guidelines - Proven track record in managing and leading software engineering teams with strong interaction across the organization - Ability to lead teams that create highly scalable products - Experience in mentoring and energizing teams of engineers, demonstrating both technical and leadership capabilities - Experience developing large-scale Internet applications with high operational requirements - Familiarity with current technology, architecture, design concepts, open-source operating systems, database systems, networking, and security - Experience with open-source frameworks and tools - Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies - Over five years of experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve results - Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - Strong sense of ownership and urgency in work - Familiarity with Big Data Java technologies - Strategic vision and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadline-driven projects - Passing of background and drug screen checks

Responsibilities

- Oversee a team within the software engineering department, providing technical and organizational leadership - Direct and manage staff functions to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications - Align the strategic direction of the team with IT and Early Warnings overarching goals - Evaluate and improve existing methodologies, track metrics, and recommend process enhancements - Allocate resources and time for all projects and functions supported - Collaborate internally and externally, representing the technology organization - Participate as a member of cross-functional project teams, providing updates and estimating testing efforts - Review project status and quality metrics, addressing any arising issues - Provide input on the creation and execution of test plans, as well as test summaries - Guide the ongoing research and use of automated testing tools for all applications - Lead the implementation of automated regression test suites for production applications - Build and develop a high-performing team - Contribute actively to the vision and strategic leadership of the Software Engineering department - Manage resources by participating in hiring, coordinating project assignments, and conducting performance evaluations - Provide professional development support for staff through training and mentorship - Ensure product and application services align with the technology roadmap strategy - Enhance and mature the Agile software development lifecycle by applying industry best practices - Ensure adherence to company standards and audit regulations - Research and present potential system improvements from various sources - Establish and maintain positive relationships across the organization, acting as a consultant to other functional areas - Assist other departments in understanding technical solutions and defining ROI - Update executive management on departmental progress and issues - Support the companys commitment to risk management and data integrity
