Must:
We are looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in managing and supporting Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender for Office.
- A solid grasp of data governance, compliance frameworks, and information security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Scripting experience, with a focus on PowerShell and Python.
- Experience with ticket and change management systems, particularly ServiceNow.
- Additional relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be responsible for:
- Administering and supporting Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender for Office, to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Configuring and managing security settings, policies, and compliance features within these platforms.
- Implementing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Monitoring and reporting on compliance metrics, data classification, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
- Providing technical support to end-users regarding tools and best practices associated with Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office.
- Collaborating closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to integrate these platforms with existing systems and workflows.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders regarding security incidents, compliance metrics, and recommendations for enhancement.
- Staying current on the latest features, updates, and best practices related to Microsoft Purview and Defender for Office.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation, including tasks through scripting and automation tools.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures connected to these operations.
- Generating reports on platform performance, security incidents, and compliance metrics for management review.
