Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in building and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin and Java
- Strong understanding of Jetpack Compose, MVI architecture, and asynchronous coding patterns (Coroutines, Flow, RxJava)
- Familiarity with build tools such as Gradle and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Circle CI)
- Proficient in using testing frameworks like Espresso and JUnit
- Ability to effectively collaborate within a globally distributed team and communicate ideas clearly
- Demonstrated expertise in performance analysis, optimization, and managing legacy code challenges
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of efficiently managing time in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain high-quality Android applications for our financial services client
- Collaborate closely with designers, product owners, QA, and fellow engineers to introduce new features and enhancements in a dynamic, small-team atmosphere
- Engage in code reviews, delivering constructive criticism, and ensuring compliance with best practices and coding standards
- Diagnose, identify, and fix bugs and performance challenges in existing applications
- Integrate Android applications with custom backend services and RESTful APIs
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests to guarantee code reliability and maintainability
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes using tools such as Gradle, GitHub Actions, and Circle CI
