Requirements
Must:
- B.S. degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline
- Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance testing
- More than 3 years of proficiency in testing applications on OTT platforms such as Apple TV, Roku, and Samsung Smart TVs
- Experience in testing advertisements, video players (both live and on-demand), streaming media content, and metrics on OTT/Smart TV platforms
- Proficient in programming languages including Java, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Capability in developing automation frameworks with tools like Selenium, Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit
- Knowledge of performance testing tools to assess server and client-side metrics
- Familiar with software engineering security testing
- Experience with tools such as Git, SQL, Jenkins, Maven, ANT, Charles, Fiddler, New Relic, JIRA, and TestRail
- Any relevant certifications in QA, process improvement, automation, performance testing, or security
Responsibilities
- Provide estimates for overall testing efforts
- Formulate comprehensive and organized test plans and test cases
- Establish test harnesses to verify functionality
- Carry out automation feasibility assessments and develop API, functional, integration, and performance scripts across various platforms
- Construct, deploy applications, and carry out both manual and automated testing processes
- Examine logs to identify root causes of problems and report defects until resolved
- Engage actively in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives
- Conduct nightly automated regression and performance tests
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines for functional, integration, and production testing
- Document knowledge resources, including HOWTO guides, for the quality and performance engineering team
- Mentor and support quality engineers while ensuring adherence to processes and publishing key performance indicators
- Collaborate with on-site and remote teams as required
