Requirements
Must:
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- 3–6 years of experience in project management, coordination, or PMO roles within a federal contracting or governmental environment.
- Familiarity with project management standards and methodologies (PMBOK), risk management, and change control processes.
- Experience in federal IT modernization, cybersecurity, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, Smartsheet).
Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation alongside a Senior Project Manager.
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely project deliverables.
- Maintain and update project documentation to meet agency standards, including charters, risk registers, and meeting minutes.
- Monitor and report on project progress utilizing PM tools and dashboards (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar).
- Aid in the creation of project reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and help mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as needed.
- Support management of contract deliverables and conduct quality assurance reviews.
- Contribute to the enhancement of PMO templates, tools, and methodologies.
