Requirements
Must:
- CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional
- CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of related experience, or technical/vocational certification and 10+ years of progressively complex experience
- Active SECRET clearance required
- Mastery of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, VRRP, RSTP, and more
- Experience with Cisco environments, Windows AD, UNIX/OpenVMS, routers, switches, and WAN infrastructure
- Familiarity with Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, optical testing tools (OTDR), cabling standards, and network analyzers
- Strong background supporting DoD health IT systems (highly preferred)
- Ability to lead troubleshooting, guide junior staff, and serve as the senior authority for network decisions
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-level design, installation, and configuration of network systems
- Provide reliable, secure network connectivity to military medical facilities
- Support hospitals, clinics, telemedicine, medical logistics, and clinical staff
- Enable doctors, nurses, and service members to access critical information and systems
- Serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues while mentoring junior team members
Description
We are ECS, seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our North Charleston, SC office. This position is contingent upon contract award. In this role, you will support the Defense Health Agencys mission to deliver dependable and secure network connectivity for military medical facilities across the CONUS region.
