Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in providing IT support in a fast-paced setting with an emphasis on desktop assistance and help desk operations
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11), macOS, and Linux distributions
- Practical experience in managing computer networks with LAN/WAN configurations, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN setup, and firewalls like Meraki or similar solutions
- Familiarity with enterprise tools such as SCCM for software deployment, Active Directory for user management, GPO for policy enforcement, BMC Remedy or ServiceNow for ticketing, and Jira for project management
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers (Windows Server environments), network switches, routers, and DNS servers
- Exceptional communication skills with a customer-centric approach to effectively assist users while maintaining professionalism
- Ability to swiftly analyze system issues using diagnostics skills to accurately identify problems and implement timely solutions
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, email, and network connectivity
- Support remote and field employees as needed
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control systems (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365, EntraID, SaaS solutions)
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications
- Provide support for mobile devices utilizing Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools (e.g., Jamf)
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and track equipment
- Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Assist in the deployment of new technologies
- Contribute to maintaining cybersecurity best practices, updates, and endpoint protection
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for software, hardware, and telecommunication support
- Travel between locations as needed
- Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Description
We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who will be integral in providing technical assistance and support for our organizations computer systems, hardware, software, mobile devices, and network infrastructure. Ensuring the timely resolution of user issues and supporting company-wide technology initiatives, we maintain system reliability across our multiple office and field locations. Our vibrant team is dedicated to innovation and excellence, and we offer competitive pay rates ranging from $24.00 to $28.00 per hour along with comprehensive benefits including 401(k) plans with matching, health and dental insurance, life insurance, and paid time off. This position is in-person, allowing you to collaborate closely with our team.
