Requirements
Must:
- Basic knowledge of IT systems (Windows, hardware, Microsoft 365)
- Reliable and capable of delivering results
- Comfortable operating within industrial and workshop settings
- Ability to follow instructions and resolve support tickets
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Physically able to lift and transport equipment when necessary
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally
Responsibilities
- Resolve fundamental IT issues (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.)
- Address IT support tickets and assist users with everyday challenges
- Travel between office and workshop locations to offer support
- Configure and set up new computers, devices, and equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting network and connectivity problems
- Provide support in shop settings for workstations, tool controllers, and related systems
- Act as remote hands for senior IT personnel or external vendors
- Aid in onboarding new employees (equipment, accounts, etc.)
- Maintain and oversee IT equipment inventory
- Visit job sites within the Houston area as necessary
Description
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on IT technician to join our team and support our Houston office, shop locations, and various job sites. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who enjoy practical problem-solving and are willing to travel between locations as required. In this role, you will engage with everyday IT challenges, assist senior IT staff, and work outside of a traditional desk environment, gaining valuable experience across multiple settings. We offer a solid entrypoint into IT with opportunities for growth into more advanced roles.
