Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or a comparable Masters Degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Must be a US Citizen (without dual citizenship) to meet clearance regulations.
- Active or inactive US DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher.
- Certifications: DoD 8570/8140 IAT level II or III approved baseline certifications.
- Significant experience in Linux systems administration, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky, or Ubuntu, focusing on information assurance and remediation.
- Knowledge of DevOps or DevSecOps environments, including CI/CD, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, etc.
- Experience with virtual machines, hypervisors, and Kubernetes orchestrated containers.
- Familiarity with enterprise network architectures and cyber security operations.
- Experience with network protocols, router/switch configurations (Cisco IOS), and firewall operations.
- Automated configuration management experience using tools like Ansible.
Responsibilities
- Provide cyber security engineering services for both classified and unclassified networks of computer systems, primarily operating on Linux platforms supporting development networks.
- Assess system vulnerabilities and implement risk mitigation strategies while validating secure systems and testing for security weaknesses.
- Enhance and execute processes to uphold DoD-defined Information Assurance (IA) security standards (CMMC, 800-171, 800-53).
- Assist in DCSA IA Assessments.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to set up and maintain a CI/CD environment, including Jenkins pipelines and security analysis tools.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation supporting the systems.
- Provide IT support for development teams.
Description
We are DAS, committed to delivering innovative software solutions for various Naval Combat Training Systems. Our projects involve executing critical scientific, engineering, and technical services related to the design, development, integration, testing, fleet implementation, and maintenance of training simulation systems. This position allows you to play a vital role in supporting network infrastructure and services pertaining to cutting-edge Navy Combat System Training Systems. While remote work is not feasible, you will primarily work from our facilities in McLean, VA, with occasional on-site assignments at the NSWC facility in Carderock, MD. We offer competitive salaries ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 per year, along with an extensive benefits package that includes 401(k) matching, health insurance, paid time off, and professional development assistance.
