Requirements
Must:
- Over 6 years of direct experience in security engineering roles
- At least 1 year of experience in software engineering
- Strong grasp of security principles, software development, IAM, networking, and application security
- Extensive hands-on expertise with Zero Trust methodologies and SSE platforms (Cloudflare, Cisco, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks)
- Proficient in Python, REST APIs, and data formats such as JSON, CSV, XML
- Experience in security automation (SOAR, CI/CD, IaC)
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud environments
- Knowledge of IAM/PIM solutions (Entra ID, CyberArk, Okta, Auth0)
- Skilled in Linux and Windows administration
- Proficient with SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Rapid7)
- Experienced in Vulnerability Management platforms (Qualys, Rapid7, Tenable)
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and principles
- Knowledge of Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos, Checkpoint)
- Familiar with compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, SOX, NIST, CIS 18)
- Experience with EDR platforms (Microsoft, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Knowledge of DLP solutions (Microsoft Purview, Symantec, Trellix)
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering concepts
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation abilities
- Proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional technical teams
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCNA, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate are preferred and highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Drive the design, implementation, and automation of advanced security controls across our enterprise
- Construct and maintain enterprise-grade security solutions in alignment with Zero Trust and SSE strategies
- Lead the development and automation of security mechanisms using Python, REST APIs, and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, SOAR)
- Engineer integrations between security platforms, infrastructure, and applications to enhance visibility, detection, and response capabilities
- Collaborate with diverse teams (infrastructure, software, IAM, DevOps) to integrate security into architectural designs and development processes
- Manage and optimize security platforms, including SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, and DLP systems
- Oversee the configuration and governance of IAM and PIM solutions (Entra ID, Okta, CyberArk, Auth0)
- Provide technical guidance in the evaluation, deployment, and fine-tuning of Zero Trust and SSE platforms (Cloudflare, Cisco, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks)
- Foster continuous enhancement in automation, detection engineering, and incident response procedures
- Contribute to compliance efforts (PCI DSS, SOX, NIST, CIS 18) via engineering, documentation, and evidence collection
- Research and develop prototypes for using Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering for cybersecurity automation and analysis
- Mentor junior engineers while contributing to security standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
