Requirements
Must:
- 3β5+ years of professional web development experience
- Extensive experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and page builders
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Experience in translating design files into live websites
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, site speed optimization, and mobile responsiveness
- Knowledge of emerging AI and Generative Engine Optimization techniques
- Familiarity with website hosting environments, domain management, and basic DNS configuration
- Exceptional organization, communication, and time-management skills in a remote team setting
Nice-to-Haves:
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience with performance optimization tools and best practices
- Comfort in collaborating with content strategists on SEO and site architecture
- Familiarity with analytics setup, tracking, and conversion optimization
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of new website designs, wireframes, and content
- Develop and support new client websites based on approved designs, wireframes, and content
- Collaborate with strategists, designers, and content leaders to ensure sites meet brand positioning and user experience goals
- Create responsive, accessible, and SEO/GEO-friendly websites optimized for performance and conversion
- Implement and customize CMS-based sites (primarily WordPress), including themes, templates, and plugins
- Execute updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting on active client websites
- Ensure clean, maintainable code while adhering to security and performance best practices
- Participate in regular team check-in meetings to synchronize on project timelines and priorities
- Provide clear estimates, timelines, and status updates to foster efficient project management
