Requirements
Must:
- Current TS or Q clearance is preferred or must be able to obtain a Q clearance
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience
- Masters Degree is a plus
- Over 5 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer or a related role
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Thorough technical knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise network environments
- Proficient in Palo Alto Networks Firewall Operations
- Knowledgeable in Security Operations Management
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals
- Expertise in proxy and web security
- Experience with incident and service management
- Understanding of VPN technology
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the enterprise firewall and network security systems
- Manage and execute firewall upgrades
- Address and resolve security incidents
- Process and manage service tickets
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure network stability, integrity, and security
- Identify additional application security tools and perform tool analysis
- Provide recommendations for enhancing security protocols
- Conduct penetration tests and manual/automated code reviews
- Design, develop, or recommend integrated system solutions to protect proprietary and confidential data and systems
