Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret security clearance required
- U.S. citizenship necessary
- Associates degree or equivalent experience; Bachelors preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Over 7 years of experience in network operations or technical support
- Required certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Azure AZ-900 (one or more)
- Strong grasp of enterprise networking concepts including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, and VPN technologies
- Solid familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking services (ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Virtual WAN)
- Experience using network monitoring tools and SPAN/packet capture analysis
- Proficient with ticketing systems and incident management processes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Capability to work independently in a 24x7 operational environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation standards
- Customer service orientation with multitasking ability
- Preferred proficiency in network automation concepts and scripting (PowerShell, Python)
Responsibilities
- Provide expert operational support as the final escalation point for complex Livesite incidents and critical customer-reported issues
- Lead the resolution of high-priority incidents impacting PhysNet and FPN network operations, ensuring 24x7 coverage
- Conduct advanced root cause analysis and establish comprehensive remediation strategies
- Design and implement networking solutions in intricate federal cloud buildouts
- Offer technical consultation on ExpressRoute Direct architecture, along with capacity planning and optimization
- Spearhead optical SPAN monitoring initiatives and formulate advanced mitigation strategies for network performance
- Architect end-to-end deployment solutions for Microsoft ExpressRoute devices across various locations
- Develop and refine automation workflows as part of PNAAS automation efforts
- Design and validate sophisticated configuration implementations for production environments
- Direct technical evaluations and integration of Microsoft partner services (e.g., ATT, BT, Verizon, Equinix)
- Facilitate network infrastructure modernization involving AZN Systems integration for HWProxy and Scripting Framework
- Oversee architectural implementations of PulseVPN and Webportal for secure federal environments
- Formulate advanced troubleshooting methodologies and create comprehensive knowledge base articles
- Create operational readiness frameworks and testing protocols for new service deployments
- Lead post-incident review sessions and initiate systemic enhancements
- Provide technical mentorship to Tier 1 and Tier 1.5 engineers
- Contribute to capacity planning and strategies for infrastructure scaling
- Participate in architectural review boards and technical governance activities
- Manage Letters of Authorization (LOAs) with Microsofts infrastructure partners
- Oversee contract sign-off processes for new Microsoft Partner integrations
- Direct complex decom activities for networking infrastructure in federal cloud environments
- Sustain relationships with Microsoft product groups and partner organizations
- Propel continuous improvement initiatives across operational workflows
- Engage in on-call rotation, delivering 24x7 expert-level support
