Quality Specialist - Quality Assurance Tools

- Supervise incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities - Ensure accurate interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications - Review and approve inspection results, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and Test Result Reports - Collaborate with management to assess product acceptability in case of issues - Manage Returns and Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs/NCRs) - Lead or assist in performing root cause analysis (5 Whys, etc.) - Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) - Oversee Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including rework and scrap decisions - Guarantee compliance with AS9100 standards, customer specifications, and internal procedures - Maintain and enforce documentation procedures and quality records - Support certifications, audits, and surveillance visits from internal and external bodies - Ensure proper document control and revision management on the shop floor - Act as the main quality liaison for customers and suppliers - Facilitate customer audits and develop formal responses to quality escapes - Review supplier quality performance and improvement strategies with management - Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as scrap rates and audit findings - Analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement - Collaborate with Operations and Engineering on process enhancements - Provide immediate support on the shop floor and address production inquiries - Interpret specifications and efficiently resolve quality challenges - Balance compliance requirements with production flow to ensure timely delivery - Proactively escalate risks before they escalate into customer issues - Maintain visibility on the shop floor to verify adherence to processes - Address inquiries about whether products are ready for shipment
