Requirements
Must:
- Sixty (60) credit hours towards a BS or BA in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
- Fundamental understanding of engineering principles, physics, and chemistry.
- Familiarity with basic manufacturing testing procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in technical writing and thorough documentation; attention to detail is vital.
- Capability to read and interpret engineering schematics.
- Previous experience in ISO environments is advantageous.
- Proven analytical skills including planning, effective problem resolution, and priority setting.
- Knowledge of DOE, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project.
- Ability to engage with customers and promote the companys image positively.
- Energetic and adaptable, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the electrical and/or mechanical design inputs in collaboration with the engineering team, including bid initiatives.
- Develop product tools, test fixtures, and devices that enhance error-proofing.
- Assist in product launches and ongoing improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Analyze and create models utilizing 3D CAD software, a beneficial skill.
- Help in the creation of product documentation and work instructions.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, quality, and external suppliers to align schedules with customer requirements.
- Support component, process, and sustaining engineering tasks on assigned projects.
- Aid in achieving facility and corporate strategic objectives.
- Ensure proper handling and management of hazardous waste in the workplace.
- Complete additional tasks as needed.
