Requirements
Must:
- Currently enrolled or nearing graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, Inventor, Virtual Gibbs)
- Familiarity with Lean Enterprise Techniques and related coursework
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications and project planning tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of engineering drawing systems and principles, geometric and conventional tolerance, and testing methods (manual and automatic)
- Ability to comprehend and execute instructions in various formats (written, verbal, or diagrammatic)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers and management to gain insights into manufacturing processes
- Analyze engineering design documents, prototypes, and change orders for manufacturability
- Identify necessary equipment, tooling, materials, and manufacturing methods for production
- Coordinate efforts across different departments to implement or modify manufacturing processes for new or existing products
- Conduct time studies and document production methods while focusing on Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Utilize CAD/CAM tools to assist with design tasks as necessary
- Accept additional responsibilities as assigned by the department Manager
