Design Engineering Lead - Mechanical Systems

- Oversee design reviews to ensure compliance with performance and reliability standards - Manage task execution to achieve results on schedule and error-free - Mentor and guide design engineers in their roles - Organize the workload and priorities for the design team - Collaborate with other departments for prioritized execution of tasks - Develop and uphold departmental design standards - Establish training plans for design engineers - Generate and validate concept designs - Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are both feasible and scalable - Facilitate the execution of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Design Modification Requests (DMR) - Spearhead mechanical development through the complete product lifecycle including concept, design, prototyping, testing, validation, and production support - Create and oversee workload schedules - Ensure design deliverables are completed on time and within budget - Provide technical guidance, constructive feedback on designs, and support for career development - Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations for design team members
