Requirements
Must:
- Experience in IT support or help desk roles
- Strong understanding of operating systems and networking principles (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)
- Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication abilities
- Customer-oriented mindset; certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ are advantageous
- Bachelors Degree (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide support for desktop and laptop systems across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms
- Troubleshoot software problems, including those related to Microsoft Office, OS errors, and various applications
- Address network connectivity challenges (LAN, VPN, firewalls)
- Support hardware, peripherals, and basic networking devices
- Manage and resolve support tickets using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy
- Configure workstations and help onboard new users
- Document resolutions and collaborate with IT teams on more complex issues
Description
We are looking for a Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to both our clients and internal teams. This role encompasses diagnosing hardware and software problems, supporting various operating systems, and maintaining secure and dependable IT operations. We offer flexible working options with both full-time and part-time positions available, and strive to create a customer-centric environment. Our office is located in Ottawa, ON, and we prefer candidates who can reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting.
