Requirements
Must:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is essential
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; equivalent degrees considered with pertinent work experience
- Extensive expertise in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, or Go
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular or React
- Practical experience in developing web applications utilizing microservice architecture
- Familiarity with database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and others
- Experience with containerization, cloud services, and orchestration using Docker, AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes
- Competence in using GitLab or similar tools for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and teamwork
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for research, addressing intricate issues, and continuously adopting emerging technologies
- Organizational skills to manage competing priorities effectively; strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and develop software prototypes or applications within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team
- Interact with stakeholders to clarify challenges and vision, establishing capabilities and priorities
- Engage in the entire software development lifecycle: crafting user stories, system design, development, automated testing, and operational support
- Develop user interfaces that facilitate effective data management and system monitoring
- Innovate and enhance visualization features to align with the evolving needs of end-users
- Utilize complex algorithms to provide optimized solutions for users
- Assess software for maintainability and ensure compliance with user demands and departmental standards
- Advocate for continuous improvement through process and tooling suggestions
- Mentor colleagues through the sharing of innovative ideas and industry best practices
