Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in embedded Linux software development
- Significant proficiency at the application layer (not solely low-level drivers)
- Strong comprehension of Linux systems (including services, processes, and debugging)
- Experience in software architecture and codebase organization
- Skilled in Python and/or C++, with the ability to work with both languages
- Comfort navigating the stack and interacting with hardware components
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows
- Experience in regulated environments (medical, automotive, or aerospace) is preferred
- Understanding of IEC 62304 / ISO 14971 is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Qt or other embedded UI frameworks is a plus
- Familiarity with GStreamer or multimedia pipelines is an added advantage
Responsibilities
- Own the application layer (both UI and backend) of an embedded Linux system
- Design and implement well-structured, maintainable software architecture adhering to IEC 62304 principles
- Develop applications utilizing Qt and/or Python programming languages
- Manage system services, boot behavior, and inter-process communication effectively
- Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and external partners (e.g., BSP suppliers)
- Enhance system reliability, performance, and durability, including interactions with GStreamer
- Build a certification foundation aligned with IEC 62304 — create and manage documentation and traceability strategies from the outset
- Introduce software best practices, including version control, code structure, and review processes
- Create internal tools for production support and diagnostics
