Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, particularly in data transformation and integration projects.
- Proficient in SQL with a strong background in major relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Experienced in data refactoring, migration, and optimization for web applications.
- Hands-on expertise in the design, development, and deployment of RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with one or more API development frameworks: Java (Spring Boot), Python (FastAPI/Flask), or Node.js (Express).
- Deep understanding of API security standards and practices, including authentication (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT), authorization (role-based access control), and encryption (TLS/SSL, data at rest and in transit).
- Experience with JSON, XML, and various data serialization formats.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, input validation, and error management.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for deployment and data integration.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex data and API issues.
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities for technical reports, API specifications, and deployment guides.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure data APIs that facilitate reliable and encrypted data transmissions between various systems.
- Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability in all developed solutions.
- Contribute to the modernization of web applications by enhancing system interoperability and security posture.
- Collaborate with team members to design RESTful APIs that meet both business and security requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive API documentation, including endpoint definitions, request/response formats, and usage guidelines.
- Generate security and test reports covering aspects like authentication, authorization, encryption, and validation testing.
- Create deployment and configuration guides for secure implementation across multiple environments.
- Summarize project outcomes and decisions in the final project report, including next steps for further enhancements.
