Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Senior Technical Architect or Solution Architect in enterprise systems.
- Strong expertise in application architecture, API design, and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management solutions such as OKTA or equivalent.
- Familiarity with government or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of secure software development practices and infrastructure coordination.
- Preferred: Experience with environmental or regulatory systems (RCRA, UIC, GIS).
- Preferred: Knowledge of hybrid or cloud-adjacent architectures and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Preferred: Previous experience with state IT governance organizations (e.g., DoIT).
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise and solution architectures that align with organizational standards.
- Establish architectural principles, conventions, and approved design patterns.
- Ensure solutions fulfill requirements for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Review and sanction architectural designs and technical methodologies.
- Define and govern integration protocols between various systems including RCRAInfo and UIC applications.
- Set secure API standards and data exchange protocols, ensuring consistent authentication and encryption.
- Conduct architecture and code reviews, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
- Provide technical mentorship to development teams and address architectural risks or technical debt.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams regarding hosting models and capacity requirements.
- Collaborate with security teams for vulnerability remediation and compliance checks.
- Support deployment and release approvals by verifying architectural readiness.
- Engage in architectural review boards and governance discussions.
