Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in engineering or physics
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering position, ideally in PC-based applications focused on measurement automation and manufacturing testing
- Proficient with instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and signal generators
- Experience with communication protocols including UART/Serial, GPIB, USB, and Ethernet/TCP
- Strong software architecture, design, and implementation capabilities
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Object-Oriented programming
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, Visual Basic, and .NET
- Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
- Knowledge of embedded software development is advantageous
- Good understanding of Windows operating system usage and configuration
- Experience with SQL database scripting and communication is preferred
- Proficient in test and measurement instrumentation, data acquisition, and digital I/O
- Prior experience with PLCs is a plus
- Skilled in software and electronic testing and troubleshooting using standard lab equipment
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and tools for the production of medical devices and sub-assemblies
- Define ATE architecture, incorporating both hardware and software elements
- Program software and PLCs using languages such as C#, LabVIEW, and TestStand as needed
- Create and communicate schedules along with comprehensive project plans
- Collaborate with R&D product engineers to establish requirements and work with manufacturing to assess production needs
- Support manufacturing during deployment and production phases to evaluate equipment durability and foster continuous improvement
- Develop requirements, produce design documentation, and carry out code reviews, unit testing, as well as software and system validation
