Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with HPE XP8 SAN or similar enterprise storage systems
- Expertise in mainframe SAN-based, VTS-driven data replication and journaling technologies
- Familiarity with HPE Business Continuity Manager (BCM) or similar technologies
- Knowledge of mainframe-attached storage configuration including site-to-site journaling and snapshotting
- Hands-on experience with disaster recovery testing and failover/failback procedures
- Understanding of z/OS storage configuration
- Exposure to various mainframe file types and their roles in DR and technical backup processes
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the existing strategy for data backup, replication, and recovery in a mainframe SAN environment
- Review HPE XP8 SAN and BCM configurations for effectiveness
- Suggest enhancements to the current strategies
- Analyze optimized strategies against available technical resources
- Implement necessary configuration updates
- Reinstall and configure BCM as needed
- Configure and verify Continuous Access Journaling, primary-to-backup data replication, and reverse replication capabilities
- Assist in facilitating Disaster Recovery (DR) testing
- Document and clarify technical configurations for client stakeholders
- Develop a sustainable operational model and a future-state roadmap
