Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering with at least 5 years of experience in test engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of advanced LabVIEW programming experience within a scientific, industrial, or research setting.
- Proven success in managing projects from initial concept to completion.
- Experience in development and certification testing for mechanical or electrical hardware.
- Proficiency with mechanical and electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and tensile testing machines.
- Familiarity with SOLIDWORKS is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills are crucial.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, and create test processes and equipment for specialized projects by applying engineering principles.
- Lead the design, programming, and documentation of control and acquisition projects utilizing National Instruments software and hardware, including PXI, RIO, and FPGA architectures.
- Develop modular, reliable, and reusable LabVIEW code to facilitate continuous improvements.
- Commission and troubleshoot software platforms to guarantee functionality and reliability.
- Perform analytical studies to assess engineering test data and product proposals.
- Create extensive test procedures and compile detailed test reports.
- Work collaboratively with technicians to set up equipment, test articles, and testing facilities.
- Install, configure, and calibrate instruments for data gathering during tests.
- Ensure that tests are conducted in accordance with established plans and regulations while documenting any inconsistencies.
