Requirements
Must:
- 8 years of experience in game development, with at least one title released in a Lead/Manager capacity
- Proficient in Unreal Engine and/or UEFN, including UMG (Unreal Motion Graphics), Blueprints, and Verse Scripting language
- Proven track record as a leader and developer on multiple released products across various platforms - Console/PC and Mobile
- Strong collaborative skills, adept at working with stakeholders to solve complex challenges and reach consensus
- In-depth appreciation of Disneys intellectual properties, including characters, stories, and overall aesthetics
- Passion for creative problem-solving and innovation in game design
- Experience in creating UI mockups and wireframes using Figma or similar tools
- Knowledgeable in best practices for crafting smooth and engaging user experiences
- Clear communication skills, able to articulate what constitutes a friendly and engaging UI
- Familiarity with interface design standards across various game genres
- Expertise in working with 3D game engines, understanding user interface design strengths and limitations
- Capable of effectively communicating with diverse teams and departments
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement UI using Unreal Engine, UEFN, and scripting in Verse for both development and live service scenarios
- Collaborate with project leads and fellow developers to design interactive UI elements that enhance player engagement
- Direct the UI development process while managing the UI teams efforts within a cross-disciplinary pod structure
- Actively participate as a developer in creating content for interactive games and experiences based on Disneys extensive character portfolio
- Design wireframes and mockups for user interfaces, ensuring alignment with art direction and style guidelines
- Work in partnership with other developers to craft user interfaces that enhance gameplay
- Design, implement, and refine UI and UX systems and features
- Maintain and update detailed design documentation
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior UI designers
