Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on retail, especially in areas like customer segmentation, performance forecasting, and business optimization.
- Strong business acumen with the capability to convert complex analytical insights into actionable strategies.
- Extensive experience in developing and refining retail strategies through advanced analytics in both physical and online environments.
- Proficient in creating intuitive dashboards using tools like Tableau for self-service insights and monitoring key metrics.
- In-depth knowledge of predictive modeling techniques including regression, time series forecasting, and machine learning methods.
- Skilled in designing and analyzing experiments such as A/B testing and other causal frameworks.
- Expert-level abilities in Python to build scalable pricing and forecasting models using relevant libraries.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying large retail and transactional datasets, including experience with automated data pipelines.
- Familiar with big data and cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: Masters or PhD in a relevant field.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end model development by designing, developing, and deploying complex statistical and machine learning models to address retail challenges like customer segmentation and demand forecasting.
- Create scalable data solutions by architecting and implementing data pipelines and model workflows using Python, SQL, and cloud services.
- Develop visual analytics tools by constructing dynamic dashboards and self-service analytics solutions to monitor business performance and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business and technical parties to translate ambiguous inquiries into measurable analytics problems that inform strategic decisions.
- Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, promoting best practices in coding, model validation, and responsible AI usage.
