Requirements

Must:
- 8+ years of experience in game development, including a Lead or Manager position on at least one released game. - Proficient in Unreal Engine, UEFN, and skilled in UMG, Blueprints, and Verse Scripting language. - Experience in leadership roles and development on multiple platforms including Console, PC, and Mobile. - Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders to tackle challenges and achieve objectives. - Deep appreciation for Disneys intellectual property, including characters, themes, and design aesthetics. - Creativity in problem-solving and a passion for innovative projects. - Familiarity with creating UI mockups and wireframes using Figma or similar applications. - Knowledge of best practices for developing seamless and engaging user experiences. - Ability to articulate what constitutes an effective and friendly UI for games. - Understanding of UI design standards across various gaming genres. - Expertise in working with 3D game engines and their implications for UI design. - Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams. - Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

- Take ownership of UI implementation using Unreal Engine, UEFN, and Verse scripting in both development and live settings. - Collaborate with project leads and developers to design fun and engaging UI elements and gaming experiences. - Lead the UI development while overseeing the work of the UI team within a collaborative pod structure. - Actively contribute to content creation for interactive games based on Disneys diverse characters and worlds. - Develop wireframes and mockups for user interfaces. - Partner with art direction to establish and uphold UI style guidelines. - Work alongside other developers to design and enhance user interfaces that improve gameplay. - Create, implement, and iterate on UI and UX systems and features. - Document detailed design specifications and updates. - Offer mentorship and guidance to fellow UI Designers.
