Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- In-depth understanding of information systems theories, concepts, and techniques
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Over 7 years of hands-on software design and development experience, with substantial expertise in:
- .NET and .NET Core
- C#, SQL, and Python
- Front-end frameworks like React or Angular
- Relational databases, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Multithreading programming
- Strong proficiency in Azure cloud services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Key Vault
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools

Responsibilities
- Design and create robust solutions for transitioning C# .NET applications from Oracle to Snowflake, focusing on modernizing the data access layer and enhancing performance for the new data platform
- Manage the migration process from Oracle to PostgreSQL, while simultaneously transforming and shifting Oracle PL/SQL routines to Snowflake, addressing technical issues to ensure data consistency and application compatibility
- Work under guidance and participate in code/design reviews by senior team members to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, well-architected systems that effectively utilize technology
- Maintain a satisfactory workload and communicate the status of personal work plans and tasks associated with the design, development, and testing of assigned project sections
- Perform additional tasks as required
Description
We offer a 9-month contract position with a strong likelihood of extension, operating within a hybrid work model of 3 days a week in our Toronto, Ontario office. This role is within the banking sector and presents a unique opportunity to work on exciting projects utilizing advanced technologies. We provide competitive pay ranging from $75 to $85 per hour along with benefits such as a casual dress code.
