Senior QA Engineer - API Automation

- Lead the overall API automation strategy and framework architecture for microservices and distributed systems - Develop sophisticated API automation using Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, Postman/Newman, and Karate - Create and implement AI/LLM test scenarios to ensure response accuracy, quality, consistency, determinism, and safety - Generate automated tests at the API level for prompt handling, structured outputs, error cases, and edge conditions - Execute contract testing, schema validation, negative testing, and API security assessments - Embed automation into CI/CD processes and advocate for shift-left quality practices - Employ service virtualization and mocking tools to enhance environment stability and promote quicker delivery - Enhance automation reliability, minimize flakiness, and establish quality metrics and reporting standards - Offer technical direction, mentorship, and conduct code reviews on automation projects - Utilize Parasoft tools effectively to design, develop, and sustain robust API automation frameworks - Implement service virtualization to replicate complex backend systems and third-party services for reliable testing - Define and uphold API contracts, schema validation, and data-driven testing approaches with Parasoft - Embed Parasoft test suites in CI/CD workflows and utilize dashboards for monitoring coverage and health metrics - Collaborate closely with security, architecture, and DevOps teams to synchronize Parasoft applications with enterprise governance standards - Provide guidance on best practices and strategic leadership for scalable adoption of Parasoft tools
