Requirements
Must:

- Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience in building data pipelines to support ML/AI workloads is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling principles.
- Fundamental knowledge of SQL or other query languages for data exploration and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of low-code SaaS and Cloud Data Platforms.
- Proficiency in a scripting language for automating administrative tasks and workflows.
- Technical expertise in Public Cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices, encompassing automation, monitoring, and continuous delivery.
- Experience in technical support, consulting, or broader information technology roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and supporting SaaS or PaaS environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and presentation capabilities, to engage with a wide array of customers and stakeholders at various levels.
- Cloud computing experience.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Experience documenting business processes and gathering service requirements from diverse stakeholders to inform ongoing and future service offerings.
- Familiarity with related technologies such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other M365 applications.
- Knowledge of foundational Generative AI principles, including prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, etc., will be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Middleware, Product, Data Engineering teams, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver well-managed and supported AI and Analytical Platforms within the organization.
- Maintain, manage, and enhance platforms including continuous improvement and exploration of new features to meet evolving business needs and leverage the latest technological advancements.
- Support the development of Generative AI applications and help manage and deliver Analytical and AI technologies.
- Work directly with Middleware and Product engineering teams, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Software Developers, and internal teams (like Capital Markets, Quants, Private Investment, etc.).
- Report to the Senior Analytical Technology Manager, Data Science & Advanced Analytics.
- Assist in supporting and maintaining the Analytical and AI platforms, which comprise Azure AI Services, Power BI/Fabric, Databricks, and Copilot Studio.
- Drive user adoption and best practices through training and support, helping to build a community of practice, ensuring continuous improvement, and exploring inventive ways to maximize the value of these tools.
- Facilitate support requests by managing their intake process: organizing, prioritizing, and addressing issues.
- Work with cutting-edge technology to develop AI solutions.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and cost of the technologies to pinpoint areas for improvement and automation.
- Address inquiries from various roles within the business, providing guidance on effective utilization of AI and analytical technologies.
- Conduct training sessions, create materials, assist with onboarding, and develop/maintain user documentation and knowledge resources.
- Conduct independent research for potential solutions to challenges encountered.
- Develop and implement use cases that illustrate the value of technologies in driving business outcomes.
Description
This position operates in a hybrid work model, with three days per week in our Toronto, Ontario office. It is a one-year contract with an hourly pay rate of $71.00 and an expected workload of 40 hours per week. Prospective candidates should have reliable commuting options to Toronto, ON, or plans to relocate before starting work. Preferred experience includes two years with Snowflake, Copilot Studio, and Databricks, along with three years in Python, and two years in Platform Engineering. We are committed to fostering collaboration within our Data, Analytics & AI team, which comprises a variety of specialists. By working closely together, we aim to enhance our Generative AI applications and ensure our analytical technologies effectively support our business objectives.
