Quality Assurance Engineer - Testing Tools

- Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation for manufactured components - Support first article inspections (FAIs) and validation for new or modified products - Review engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, weld symbols, and tolerances to ensure manufacturability and inspectability - Provide technical expertise for dimensional inspections using various metrology equipment - Assist production teams with in-process inspection techniques and acceptance standards - Support PPAP documentation processes, including PFMEAs, FMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Control Plans - Investigate internal and external nonconformance reports (NCRs) - Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies like 5 Why and 8D - Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) - Collaborate with engineering and production to implement process improvements, reducing scrap and complaints - Assess fabrication processes such as laser cutting, welding, and assembly, identifying areas for improvement - Collaborate with engineering to refine tolerances, inspection methods, and production flow - Monitor supplier quality and assist in planning and executing inspections - Investigate supplier-related NCRs and facilitate supplier corrective actions - Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements - Support internal and customer audit processes and document control - Maintain calibration programs and measurement systems - Analyze quality performance metrics and generate reports for management
