Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of IT support or help desk experience, preferably in a K–12 or educational environment
- Proficient in Google Workspace for Education, ChromeOS, macOS, and standard peripherals
- Hands-on experience with Google Admin Console and mobile device management tools
- Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as Freshservice, Zendesk, or Jira
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, Wi-Fi configuration, access point troubleshooting)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to established procedures
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and setting up IT equipment across the campus
- DOJ/FBI fingerprint background check (Live Scan)
- Valid TB test or risk assessment
- Knowledge of FERPA, CIPA, and student data privacy regulations
- Understanding of mandated reporter responsibilities in educational contexts
- Commitment to maintaining client-specific safety and confidentiality protocols
- Previous experience supporting public or charter K–12 schools (preferred)
- Familiarity with SIS and learning platforms like PowerSchool, Clever, or I-Ready (preferred)
- Experience in managing IT assets and hardware logistics (preferred)
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certifications (preferred)
- Spanish language fluency is a plus (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for Chromebooks, MacBooks, printers, AV systems, and other classroom/office devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues related to connectivity, account access, printing, and browser settings
- Offer responsive, user-friendly assistance to staff members with varying technical skills
- Enroll, configure, and manage school-issued devices through Google Admin Console and MDM tools
- Ensure compliance with policies regarding content filtering, usage, and software updates
- Monitor device inventory and assist with asset lifecycle management and reporting
- Handle all requests via DNSs Freshservice ticketing system
- Accurately document issues, time expended, and solutions provided
- Escalate complex incidents with detailed supporting information to DNS engineers or external vendors
- Conduct regular visual inspections and light maintenance in the on-site server/network equipment area
- Maintain organized cabling and report any hardware irregularities to DNS leads
- Monitor wireless access points and engage in basic network troubleshooting as required
- Collaborate with third-party educational technology vendors (such as PowerSchool, Clever, I-Ready) to resolve technical issues
- Keep school administration informed of relevant outages, planned maintenance, and service disruptions
- Submit weekly internal status reports to DNS leadership summarizing work completed and unresolved matters
- Respond promptly to DNS or school administration alerts regarding outages or system failures
- Provide remote or on-site support as necessary to restore critical services
- Be available on-call during school hours (Monday–Friday) for urgent technical support requests

We are looking for a reliable and skilled IT Support Analyst who will serve as the primary on-site technical contact for one of our partner schools in San Diego, located specifically within a K–8 Charter School. This full-time role requires dedication and the ability to handle emergency situations. We value a collaborative environment and offer competitive pay starting from $30.00 per hour.
